Scott Adkins and Tony Jaa have ventures into the coliseum for the reboot of Jean-Claude Van Damme's 1989 actioner "Kickboxer."
The couple is joining long ago advertised stars Dave Batista ("Watchmen of the World"), previous UFC welterweight champion George St-Pierre and Alain Moussi ("X-Men: Days of Future Past").
Makers are Ted Field of Radar Movies, Dimitri Logothetis and Scratch Celozzi. Mike Weber and Diminish Meyer will executive produce.
Stephen Fung ("Judo Zero") is running. The story takes after Moussi's character, who flies out to Thailand where he must take in the mysteries of kickboxing to vindicate his sibling's passing.
With the expansion of Adkins and Jaa, the film peculiarities stars with more than 20 combative technique disciplines. Adkins' credits incorporate "The Bourne Final offer" and "The Expendables 2." Jaa featured in the "Ong Bak" movies and "The Defender."
